Accountabilities
This role is part of a collaborative and innovative Engineering team.
Primary Accountabilities
- Supporting manufacturing day to day operations to maintain flow and quality in assembly of new units
- Troubleshooting issues and improving manufacturing performance
- Designing and implementing fixtures to aid manufacturing processes
- Testing of new components and parts where applicable
Team Expectations
- All team members must be capable of working on and leading independent projects as well as working effectively on team projects
- All team members are expected to follow sound engineering principles
- All team members will design, build and implement fixtures and or part improvements
Qualifications and Attributes
The ideal candidate will bring the following qualifications and personal attributes to the role:
Production Engineering Knowledge
- Bachelor in Engineering (preferred) or Engineering Technologist Diploma
- Experience in CAD design, PTC Creo (preferred)
- Knowledge of version control for CAD design, Windchill (preferred)
- Demonstrated skill in mechanical design
- Working knowledge of manufacturing process and ergonomics
- Valued experience beyond minimum requirements would be:
- Ergonomic design
- 5S methodology
- Lean manufacturing
- Pneumatics and automation
- 3D printing experience would be beneficial
Relevant Workplace Experience
- 1+ year in CAD design and version control (preferred)
- 1+ year in manufacturing facility (preferred)
Effective Team Member
- Strong communication skills including active listening and clear messaging
- Builds strong relationships with co-workers based on trust and accountability

Description
- Gaining a detailed and comprehensive understanding of all SureShot manufactured equipment during the prescribed orientation phase of employment in accordance with predetermined expectations
- Responding to customer incoming calls in a prompt and professional manner as per Company standards
- Listening to customer concerns, determine causes of problems and troubleshoot using knowledge and service protocols to find solutions or escalate for additional expertise.
- Recording and data entry of customer call details into the record keeping system. (Salesforce)
- Dispatching of 3rd party service providers where required including follow up to ensure customer satisfaction
- On a rotating basis provide extended hours coverage as the on-call responder to customer service calls

Description
SureShot Solutions® is a local company that designs, engineers, manufactures, and markets dispensers for beverages and beverage enhancers to many of the world’s leading quick-service restaurant chains. Known for consistent accuracy, our portion-control dispensers deliver precise amounts of milk, cream, sugar, sweetener, and flavor so that restaurant goers can enjoy the same great tasting beverages with every visit.
The print room operates on a five day per week basis (Monday to Friday) from 7:30 to 4:00 at the company premises in Lower Sackville, and there is an immediate requirement to add to its team. The Graphics Technician is responsible for providing in-house graphic printing to support the manufacture of equipment and service parts. The role also supports the production of marketing materials in collaboration with our sales and marketing team.
The primary responsibilities of the Graphics Technician, are laying out graphics, producing computerized images for print, preparing files and printers for printing, and performing finish work on all printed materials (cutting, weeding, organizing print jobs, etc.), in accordance with specified procedures.
Requirements
While experience in a related industry is desired, this position may be of interested if the following statements apply to you:
- Proficient with computers, printers and cold lamination and using graphic software programs (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, 3D modelling, Versaworks, and Excel)
- Work collaboratively with marketing, sales, and engineering to provide support in new graphic development and miscellaneous marketing materials
- Experience with inventory receiving and tracking
- Strong attention to detail
- Possess strong math skills for layout calculation purposes
- Able to take action based on detailed work instruction
- Ability to work independently and operate the print room alone
- Self-starter and strong sense of ownership
- Place a high value on contributing to a respectful workplace
- Graphic design diploma an asset
